The aim of this shoot is to show girly, classy fashion. To show this I am going to use a model in the studio with a white background. This will hopefully create a really, light, feminine look.
This image is similar to what I hope to achieve in terms of lighting, composition and the models pose. This is because I think these elements work well together in showing fashion, especially dresses. In terms of the dress however, I plan on mine being more casual, rather than a prom style.
To prepare I need to;
- Book the studio
- Get a model
- Plan an outfit
- Plan specific poses
What I hope to achieve;
From this shoot I hope to achieve a classy, feminine shoot showing occasion wear for females.
What I actually achieved;
I am really happy with how this shoot turned out as I got a range of photographs portraying female occasion fashion. I experimented a lot with light and shadow in this shoot as I wanted to give the images a dramatic feel. This worked well in most cases and looked really effective. As well as just shooting fashion, I decided to shoot some photographs for beauty in this, which turned out really well. When I was editing, I kept the edits to black and white, or slightly desaturated colour depending on what the image was and what would look best.
This is my favourite image from the shoot as I like how dramatic and natural it looks. What catches my eye most with this image is how it looks like the model is looking at something in the distance, and is distracted - which therefore makes the image appear to be taken off guard. To enhance the dramatic look of this image I made it black and white and increased the contrast quite a lot.
I really like the composition of this, as it is quite tight with the model nearly completely filling it. I also like how she is turned slightly away from the camera and looking back at it. When editing this image I decided to keep it quite natural, and just desaturated it a bit to take the harsh edge of the colours to give it a softer, more feminine feel.
What I am going to do next;
I am really happy with how this shoot turned out, and I am going to expand upon it by creating a more dramatic shoot based around occasion fashion.
