I found this technique quite easy and simple to do, especially when shooting as I just took portraits and then of things such as leafs and tree bark to overlay. When editing, I decided to put the top image on so that it was only visible on the face with the rest of the image looking normal with no overlay. This gave some really good effects and the overall outcome was good.

I really like how this has turned out. When editing I used the Warp Transform to make the leaf fit more naturally on her face. I also rubbed out the rest of the image so that the rest looked natural. To put the emphasis on the face, I blurred the background. Although I really like this image, where I erased the leaf over the eyes and mouth it looks really harsh. It may have worked out better if I lowered the opacity of the eraser so that it did not look as harsh.
Out of these two, this is my favourite image. I like how the bark looks quite natural and covers all of her skin which gives a really good effect. Due to her dark eye makeup, where I rubbed out the eyes it looks softer and more natural. I lowered the opacity of the bark, but not enough as you can not see the shadow and shape of the face, which is making it look flat.
How I can use this technique myself;
This a technique I could use effectively in my project. For example, with beauty, I could layer and object over an image that has inspired the look and the same goes for fashion.
