Blurring Image Bank
These images all show different examples of blurring. Blurring works best when it is dark, so that the light movement is more prominent. It works well when shooting light that will travel in the same direction to get a smooth, even path or with multicoloured lights to create a more exciting effect. These images range from traffic to movement and therefore show a variety of examples where blurring can effectively be used.
I chose to include the image of the dancers as it is a really effective way of showing movement. The skirts look really effective in showing the technique in this image and stand out a lot due to the movement they have. I also really like how the image is so bright and colourful as it makes it stand out more and creates even more colours with the movement, rather than if it was black and white which for this image would not look right. I also like how natural it looks, rather than staged or been told to stand in a certain place, this is particularly evident due to the background person.
I included the image of the traffic blur (second image from the bottom) as I think it effectively shows a straight path and curved path of light. What makes the blur stand out more on this image is the fact everything else is sharp with no blur, this would be down to the use of a tripod most likely. I really like how the colours are simple in this image, as a mix of various vivid colours would not look right, This image could work in black and white due to its simplicity.
