Alexander Jordan is a British fashion and beauty photographer who does a range of editorial and advertising photography. He also does a range of photography for musicians as well. I have chosen to include him as I like the subtly dark and dramatic work that his work has, and how he uses colour well to create and present images in different ways.

I have included this artist as I really like the way he shows beauty in an edgy, eccentric way through the use of cracked glass. His work is bold and creative, showing a blurry view of fashion with certain areas shown clearly through cracks. He mainly does beauty and fashion editorial work. I have chosen to include this photographer as his work relates to the beauty aspect of my project.

Alex James is London based celebrity, fashion and advertising photographer. I have chosen to include his work as I like how it ranges from studio self-portraits, to intimate images of people in personal locations to high fashion shoots. I really like the way he composes the composition, including the use of props and different angles of the camera – i.e. not straight on. His work relates to my theme as he shoots both fashion and beauty images.

Although my project does not include the idea of live music photography, I do like the way he shoots and shows different people in a way that reflects their personality and gives a more intimate image. I also like the way he shows alternative fashion throughout his work. I have chosen to include this artist as he relates to fashion in my project.

Giampaolo Ggura is an Italian fashion editorial photographer. He also shots for various fashion houses such as Cavalli. I have included this artist as I like his classy style that is evident in all of his work. He makes sure the location and props link strongly with the model, clothing and theme.

Chuck Grant is an American photographer who mainly photographs strong, powerful women. She also often works with film cameras, which gives her work a distinct look. I have chosen to include her as I like the way she shoots classy fashion at different locations that link strongly. I also like her use of strong, yet slightly desaturated colours which work well with showing her subjects.
Max Von Gumppenberg and Patrick Bienert
Max Von Gumppennberg and Patrick Bienert are from Germany and work together as a team on all projects. They do various fashion shoots including with Vogue and V magazine. I have included these artists as I really like how their work varies and can show different fashion ideas in different locations, but keep their personal style and influence throughout.

I like how his work shows intimate portraits of people and shows various people. I like the way the majority of his work is in black and white as it creates a more dramatic personal look. His work relates to street fashion ideas that I want to look at.

I have chosen to include his work as I like his use of bold, colours that help enhance and create a bold image. I also like how he enhances images with effects such as fire, water and paint splashes. His work relates to my project as he focuses on fashion and beauty.

it does not necessarily fit in with the fashion and beauty theme, but I really
like his quite eccentric, macabre style. His work is very expressive and quite
dark which I really like. Although some of his work is not related to my

I really like the bold, and in most cases highly saturated and dramatic images he produced. He has worked with many popular names in fashion, as well as well know stars including Victorias Secret, Harpers Bazaar, and Brad Pitt as well as assisting iconic fashion photographer Richard Avedon. I have chose to look at his work as I like the way he creates stories through his work by incorporating locations to broaden the image. I also like how his black and white portraits show a lot of detail and show strong contrast.

I have looked at his work as I really like the way he uses light and colour in a way to show the subject - whether it be a portrait or advertising - in the way that suits it best.
