Fine Art Work Diary

Evaluation;
I am really happy with how this shoot turned out. I decided to approach the idea of fine art from a nature/black and white perspective, as that is one way fine art can be interpreted. The photographs I took focused on light, shadow and reflection that I saw, as I thought it would look good in black and white. Although the resultant images are in black and white, I shot them in colour so I had the option of editing them in colour if I changed my mind, rather than being limited by having shot in black and white.
 This is my favorite image from the shoot as it is a strong reflection of trees in a puddle. I also like how there is a light and shadow cast on the puddle as well by the trees. I decided to make this image contrast quite strongly to enhance the light and shadow, making it more dramatic. If I was to do this again, I would frame it differently so you could see the trees as well as their reflection.
This is another edit that I really like from my shoot. I like how strongly the light and dark contrast and how dark and mysterious the tones make the image look. Another point I strongly like is how the trees look like silhouettes. If I was to do this again, I would decrease the contrast slightly.

How I can Use this in my Work;
This technique can be applied to many different ideas, as the idea of fine art can be interpreted differently and covers a range of subjects.
