Blur Work Diary

Evaluation;
I am really happy with how this shoot turned out as I got a variety of shoots showing different movement. Overall, I think that this is a really good technique that can be used in multiple ways. For this, I used the black background and red head light as that would give me the best result. Although some didn't come out as I wanted, and some had to be taken a few times to get the timing of pressing the shutter and the models movement exact, I got mainly good images. As well as getting the model to move around, I got her to stay still while I moved the camera. I zoomed in and out whilst the camera was taking the picture, and I turned the camera left to right whilst keeping it level. These all gave good results.

This is my favourite image from the shoot as I like how her hands on both positions are quite sharp, yet show a lot of movement as well. When editing, I decided to give the image a pink hue to make it stand out more and enhance the movement. The colour also goes well with what is going on in the image and makes it seem more surreal.

For this image, I got the model to stand completely still while I quickly move the camera to the right. I really like the effect this has given as it shows her really sharp, but then gives a strong blur, dragging backwards. When editing I decided to keep it simple as I did not want to over do the image as I think it gives a really good effect. I did however use the dodge tool to enhance and brighten the lighter areas.

How can I use this technique in my work;
This is a really good technique that I could easily incorporate into my project theme. During a beauty shoot, I could do a image similar to the pink one above. And for fashion I could have a full length image of someone spinning.
