Multiple Flash Image Bank

These images show various good examples of multiple flash. To do this you use a camera and a flash whilst the model is moving. Every time you use another flash, the image gets lighter. This technique works best with a dark background and showing movement such as sports or dance. I have picked these images as they all show a good selection of where the use of multiple flash has been effective, showing movement and different poses. This technique is good at creating a eerie or a distorted, surreal effect.

I chose to include the black and white image of the woman (third image down) as it has a creepy, possessed feel to it. I think this is mainly due to the poses that the woman is doing, making it look sort of like she is trapped, which is enhanced by the scream pose she pulled. Another element of this that makes this looks creepy and creates a faded, vintage effect is the fact it is in black and white. Although, the fact that it is so faded, may be due to the amount of light exposure due to the amount of flashes used.

I included the image on the bottom as I really like how bright it is, which makes the movement and different layers stand out more. The use of a black background also helps enhance the colours and makes them stand out more. What caught my eye with this image other than the bright colour is that the models pose is so strong and seems to the same is positions. I also really like how it looks like she fades out at the bottom. I think this image relates most to my topic, and is an idea I would like to look at and include in my personal work.
