Preparation;
The aim of this shoot is to show the idea of female power in contrast to one I done a few weeks ago which shows the idea of women being weak. To show this idea I am going to use the idea of murder.

This idea does not show direct influence to my plans, but it shows a conceptual idea that has influenced me in coming to a decision about my shoot. 

To Prepare I need to;

• Get models
• Get Props
• Set up studio
• Plan poses
• Plan outfit/hair/makeup 

What I hope to achieve;
During this shoot I hope to achieve images that show the idea of female power through a conceptual idea.

What I actually achieved;
I am really happy with how this shoot turned out, as I got a range of images showing different compositions, angles and looks showing the idea I wanted. I wasn't sure how this shoot would turn out due to the idea of murder and whether the knife and cling film would work or not. I think this worked out really well and helped create a visual story therefore making the images look more exciting. I used two soft box lights during this shoot to make sure that the images came out bright and reflected the light on the knife so it looked realistic. When editing I kept it fairly simple just retouching the images and enhancing the colours.

This is my favourite image from the shot for a few reasons. Firstly, it shows the idea really clearly. Then the composition is quite tight, showing the female model filling up the majority of it with the knife fairly central. I also like how bright this image is, and how there is a lot of light reflected off the knife making it look more realistic. When editing, I increased the contrast and brightness as well as enhancing the colour.

This is another image I like from the shoot. I like how the model is looking up at the camera which makes the image feel more personal as well as showing the beauty/makeup aspect of the shoot.  I also like how it looks quite casual and relaxed - for example her expression as it contrasts what is happening. When editing I just retouched the image and saturated the colour a bit more.













What I am going to do next;
As I am happy with this, I am going to move onto a new idea.
